Check the brake light switch.

You can get creative and check the power to a spot on the frame and then switch to the audio continuity test and see if the ground is good.
If only the third brake light or the lower two lights work start by checking the circuit fuses first.
So far i ve replaced the bulb and the 10a chmsl fuse and still nothing.
If the brake lights go off when you unplug it you have a stuck or shorted switch.
Then check the brake light switch on the bake pedal arm.
On some vehicle models a fuse is provided for the two lower brake lights and another one for the third light.

Push the bulbs and turn them counterclockwise to remove from the socket.
The brake light indicates that there is a problem with the physical braking system itself.
Remove the screws from the bulb lens which you can access through the trunk or see your vehicle repair manual to get the exact location.
Blown out light bulbs are the most common reason for why the brake lights not working but the tail lights are.
Checked at the plug for the bulb with voltmeter and nothing checked at the fuse box and not getting any voltage there either.
The top bar light above the rear window works but the left and right brake lights stop working.
Use a voltmeter and see if you have power.
Back probe the switch terminals with a test light.
Start at the fuse box under the hood and make sure the brake lights fuse is not blown that the terminals are free of corrosion and that the connections are tight.
Only one of the switch terminals should turn on the test light.
